Chixa beat the league leader LSK 2 – 0 at Nadderud and conquered the premier position.

It is becoming a familiar sight. Chixa in Blue dominating their opponent on the green grass of Naddderud from the very first kick on the ball and throughout the ninety minutes. Just shy of 700 spectators could enjoy a beautiful and sunny spring day on the stands, witnessing play that warmed all hearts that beat for the Blues as Chixa outplayed our visitors from just east of Oslo. But there was one difference – for the first time this season we did not only meet opponents on the field, but also some competition on the stands – as a dozen members of Kanarifuglene had followed their team from Lillestrøm to support them with chants and a drum (!). It did not help much – but their efforts were much appreciated.

But on the field all was as before at Nadderud.

Chixa take the lead on a Lise Klaveness penalty in the ninth minute. Ina Skaug doubles the score in the 21st minute after a Lisa Woods shot. From this point onwards Chixa continues to control the rest of the match. There were more chances to score – both Klavenes and Woods could have added to the tally, but his was a match when the ball simply did not want to see the back of the net a third time.

It was anyhow a match that confirmed Chixa's fine form, and gives us hope that the Blues have conquered the top spot, not to relinquish it again.
